Are Free "MLM Leads" Better Than Paid MLM Leads?

What is better? Free (MLM leads) or paid leads? If you're new to network marketing, I suggest that you start out with a combination of generating your own free leads, generating some leads that you pay for, and purchasing some leads that are generated by a lead generation company. Free MLM leads are leads that you can create and only cost to you is your time. You can generate these leads by going to a mall and prospecting or by using lead generation tactics online.

There's no definite answer to which is better: free or paid leads. It depends on the quality of leads you're either creating or purchasing. If you're able to go to the mall and talk to 50 people and find a couple people who are interested, this could be a good use of your time. However, I feel that it is important to learn how to leverage yourself using Internet marketing. This is absolutely vital to your business because most people would join an MLM business, dream of creating residual income and eventually not having to work the business very much.

So, I would recommend focusing on learning how to generate quality free and paid MLM leads online. To generate free leads online, you can do blog posts, write e-zine articles, create Squdioo pages, create Hubpages, and many other things. All of these things that you create should have links back to your website, where somebody, if interested, can enter their information and find out what you're doing. To generate paid leads online you can use things like Google Adwords (or any pay per click offered by a search engine), or any other ad that you pay for online. Like your free MLM leads, your ad should lead back to capture page where people enter their information if they're interested in what you're doing.

You should have an automated e-mail follow-up system (I recommend AWeber). This will allow you to follow up with your prospects without actually having to devote a lot of time to this process. Thus, the only time you will spend with your prospects, is with prospects who have come to you to expressed an interest in what you do. So, your time is leveraged because you're sorting through prospects without devoting your own time.

Why I Hate Start-up "MLM Companies"

There are many reasons why I hate startup "MLM companies". But I will start with this with the difference between a prosperous business owner and a broke one. Boke business owners are emotional, and prosperous owners make their decisions based on facts, statistics, and percentages. Statistics show that around 90% percent of all business won't survive the first five years in operation. Now that you've heard the facts, don't get emotionally wrapped up listening to people in other "MLM companies", saying to get in at the ground level and you will have the best chance for success. I like to look at that as buying a lottery ticket. Sometimes, a very expensive lottery ticket with odds stacked against you. Yes, some network marketing companies make it past the first five years of business, but I would rather just join a company that already has a track record.

To me being in a company that is already established is much better. I think people who get in start up MLM companies, in some cases, are addicted to the thrill when you join a start something new. There is usually no system, so instead of being productive with your time, meaning doing the things that get you paid, you have to take time away from that and figure everything out (along with creating systems of your own.) It's much more practical to just picking a company that has everything in place for you so all you have to do is the things required to get paid.

Are You Making Deadly MLM Marketing Mistakes?

There are a few common mistakes that beginning MLM marketers make quite often. It is important to be aware of these mistakes and not make them yourself. Everybody will be faced with the choice of making these mistakes or not, because if you choose the easier one it will probably lead to failure, but if you dedicate yourself to your business and your success and choose the one that you will probably perceive it harder, you will be on your way to success.
One thing that many MLM marketing business owners do soon after starting a network marketing business is feel that they can't do it and want to quit. A lot of times, I feel this is because the initial investment of starting and network marketing business is so minimal that they don't feel enough pain for losing out on that money, and they feel that what is required to be successful is much more painful. When people start a network marketing business, they usually get wrapped up in the hype of the industry. Their uplines will probably say, "You are going to get rich in no time at all!" Well this is definitely not true, especially if it's your first opportunity. So, when a new network marketer realizes that there is a lot of time and work dedication in an MLM business, they think, "I'm only losing out on $500." However, if they had purchased a franchise that cost $10,000, they would be putting a lot more work and dedication into that business because they would be losing $10,000 not only $500.
The second problem that I see a lot of newbie network marketers, and even some old ones, have is that they don't target a specific market. This is especially important when they're marketing online. I always recommend to my team members that they have a website dedicated either through their products, if the company allows it, or for a business opportunity. I do not recommend using one website for both avenues. This is because you are either marketing for product users or business builders. If you combine the two of them, you will probably distract the point of your website.
The third biggest mistake I see MLM marketers make online is they don't do keyword research. It is absolutely vital for people advertising online, especially if they're paying for their advertising, to do keyword research. This can be very tedious and a lot of people do not find it fun. But the people who do keyword research and know exactly who they're marketing to are able to adapt their website for these people. They will see more success. This is because you want to advertise where you know people are searching. It is also important not to have a thousand keywords for one ad. You want a to be able to test your keywords and see which keywords are working better, and make changes to the ones that aren't doing as well.

How to find the "Best MLM Opportunity" Ever

The "best MLM opportunity ever, in my opinion, just doesn't exist. It would be like finding the ultimate presidential candidate. There are so many factors in business, and so many different personalities in the world, that there can't be a "best." People are passionate about different things, so "the best MLM company" for somebody who really loves nutrition, but for a junk-food dieter, this could be the most ridiculous thing ever! So, the best opportunity is going to be based upon the personality of the searcher.

If you're looking to join a network marketing company, a couple of things that you should consider are: Who am I signing up with? Can I see myself learning from and collaborating with him/her? Also, look at the product and ask yourself, "Is this something I can get excited / passionate about?" Most can easily see through somebody who's just "in it for the money," so it is important that you market a product that you really believe will bring value and assist people!

Go with your gut when searching for the multilevel marketing company that you want to join. Do you believe that the person you are joining with will be able to provide you with the proper training and assistance for your success? Or, if they're new, do they have a leader who will be there for you? (If you're counting on sombody's leader, be sure that they will be getting paid something from your results…otherwise, their support will probably fade (it will be much more profitable for them to assist people they're making money from). This brings up another issue: the compensation plan. Join a company that promotes teamwork.

Use your instinct when choosing an MLM opportunityJoin with somebody you connect with, and join a company that sells a product you can get passionate about!

Entrepreneurial Mindset is a Must in MLM Success (Think for Yourself)

Before you join any MLM company, you better know what you're up against! Success in any entrepreneurial endeavor doesn't just come overnight or because of an abundance of desire (although this is vital if you are going to have success). All entrepreneurs have an "entrepreneurial mindset." This isn't the same for everybody, but it pretty much boils down to one thing: They will do what it takes, for as long as it takes, to become successful. For example, let's say that Jim-Bob (our pretend entrepreneur) decides to take the day off from doing anything business related. Well, I can almost guarantee that when Jim-Bob sits down to veg on some TV, he has thoughts going through his mind about the commercials and how they are marketing to people. Even when entrepreneurs are having fun and relaxing, their mind is always thinking about new ways to generate income. And, if this doesn't seem like something you'd like to do, then being an entrepreneur might not be for you.
An entreprenuer doesn't have a "9-5 job" mindset. He/she doesn't produce based on a 9-5 schedule. They do what has to be done, when it has to be done. Perhaps they promised their team that they would do a three-way call. Well, most people aren't doing three-way calls during normal working hours (duh! this is when prospects are stuck at their job). So, a lot of time calls have to be made in the evening. This means that sometimes, an entreprenuer has to work when it's not the most convinient...however, entreprenurs know that this small "set-back" is only temporary and that evnetually, they will be living 100% on their own terms (the whole goal of joining an MLM company)!

An entrepreneur's mind is always thinking (not always consciously thinking) about ways to improve their bottom line. Have you ever been in the shower and had something completely unrelated to taking a shower pop into your head? Perhaps something about work or maybe you remember that you have to bring treats to your kids' baseball game tonight. Subconsciously, you were thinking about these things!

To be a successful entrepreneur, you have to have the mindset that you will do anything within your morals to get what you desire! Take your life and MLM business to the next level!

Before you You Start Your Isagenix Business!

Before you join any network marketing business, you should consider all of your options. Before I started my Isagenix business, I did just that. MLM companies are very deceiving and tell prospective business owners and clients alike the right things to make them want to join (just like all advertisers! I mean, I don't see cigarette companies telling you not to smoke or you will probably get cancer.) So, I know how important it is to do research on any company before joining…even if your dear old grandma in the one recruiting you. There are a lot of people who join a company without doing the proper research, get their families and friends involved, and when something happens (which bad things do happen everywhere…including in network marketing), there is huge turmoil in the making. So, before starting any company you should do adequate research!

Before I started my Isagenix business, I did research on a few things:
1. Does the product do what it says? Yes! Eric lost 10 pounds (and didn't seem to have anything to lose), and I lost 3 (but I lost nearly 15 inches!).
2. Does the company have an easy to understand pay plan (a good rule of thumb is that the simpler a pay plan, the better. Just like the pay plan where you work: if you show up and do your job, you get paid) In Isagenix, there are only three pay levels: "Associate" is what you come in at. "Consultant" is when you personally sponsor two people (one in each leg). "Executive" is when you personally sponsor 10 consultants (5 people in each leg who enroll two people).
3. Does the product bring value to the market place? Yes! There are tons of people who want to lose weight or prevent weight gain in the future!
Does the company have good leaders? Of course, Jim and Kathy Coover have been involved in both corporate and network marketing business for many, many years, and Dr. Anderson has been creating nutritional products for a lot of years as well!
4. Do I have a good team above me? This is one thing that throws a lot of people out of the game. A lot of MLM companies out there don't have a pay plan that promotes a team atmosphere. In Isagenix, you get paid on any production that occurs below you, so it is beneficial to assist everybody in your downline (not just the people you personally enroll)! This opens the doors to a lot of great assistance…even from leaders who may be 150 levels above you!

As you can see, I started an Isagenix business because it stood up to the key challenges that many network marketing companies fail!
